India Post to Launch ‘24 Speed Post’ for Guaranteed Next-Day Delivery in Six Major Cities

The service will be officially launched by Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Minister of State for Communications Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani at the Rangbhawan Auditorium, Akashwani Bhawan in New Delhi at 12:30 PM, in the presence of senior officials of the Department.

The 24 Speed Post service is designed to provide guaranteed next-day delivery for urgent and time-sensitive consignments. In its first phase, the facility will operate in six major cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Along with this, the Department will also offer 24 and 48 Speed Post options, ensuring D+1 and D+2 delivery timelines. These services will operate through dedicated processing windows and priority air transportation to speed up delivery.

The new service will include several advanced features such as OTP-based secure deliveryend-to-end tracking with SMS alerts, and a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option for business customers. Additional facilities include free pickup for bulk consignments, API integration, centralized billing, and a money-back guarantee if delivery timelines are not met, strengthening India Post’s premium express delivery network.
