NIELIT, SKD University Ink MoU to Advance Tech Skill Development in Rajasthan

Shri Khushal Das University (SKD University), Hanumangarh, has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), New Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

The agreement, signed on March 20, 2026, at NIELIT Bhawan, Dwarka, aims to expand access to advanced technology education for students in Rajasthan. The collaboration will enable students to pursue nationally recognised programmes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Security, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Science, Engineering, and Semiconductor Technologies within their region.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Alok Tripathi, Director (Scheme/Skilling) and Chief Controller of Examinations at NIELIT, and Dr. Ramawatar Meena, Vice Chancellor of SKD University. Senior officials, including Mr. Girish Kumar, Director General of SKD University, were present during the signing ceremony.

Under this partnership, both institutions will jointly offer certification courses, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and seminars aligned with industry standards. A Centre of Excellence with advanced laboratories is also proposed to be established on campus, providing hands-on training opportunities for students.

Additionally, the collaboration will focus on research initiatives, co-publications, internships, and participation in national and international projects. A Joint Coordination Committee will oversee the implementation and periodic review of the agreement.

The initiative is expected to strengthen regional access to quality technology education and enhance SKD University’s academic standing at the national level.
