The competition’s poster was unveiled at the DEET office by Rajeshwar Reddy (DIRECTOR, DEET), and Vamshi Reddy (ADD Corporate Relations Director-DEET), alongside the Weave Media team. A second launch was held at the WE Hub office, where WE Hub CEO Sita Garu expressed support for the initiative.
Speaking at the launch, Narendar, Director of Gurthimpu Foundation, announced that college students and youth aged between 18 and 30 years are eligible to participate. Winners will receive a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, along with opportunities for upskilling, incubation, and funding support.
Vamshi Reddy emphasized that the initiative also aims to connect youth from rural areas and professionals from diverse fields with employment opportunities in leading corporates through the DEET platform.

As a long-time promoter of talent, Weave Media — supported by Telangana Tourism, Department of Culture, and Department of Information Technology — has honored over 225 prominent personalities through the Pride of Hyderabad Awards in the past three years. As part of its CSR initiatives, the company has also conducted upskilling programs for more than 75 persons with disabilities, helping them access jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.
This year, in celebration of World Entrepreneurs Day, the fourth edition of the Pride of Hyderabad Awards will also recognize startups, institutions, and corporate entities. As a part of this celebration, the Hideathon Startup Competition has been initiated to nurture youth innovation and entrepreneurship.
Registrations are open from June 26 to July 6 on www.deet.telangana.gov.in, according to Simi, PRO of Pride of Hyderabad.
