Based on the data collected, RCB is encouraging supporters to use public transport and carpooling options to reduce emissions linked to match attendance.
The franchise is also working with Bengaluru Metro-linked ticketing offers, including free or subsidised metro rides for select match-day tickets, to make sustainable travel options more accessible.
At the stadium level, waste segregation and recycling systems have been strengthened. Officials said there is an increased focus on monitoring waste streams to ensure better disposal and reuse practices.
In addition, the Chinnaswamy Stadium complex is expanding the use of solar-powered lighting and energy-efficient electrical fixtures as part of efforts to reduce power consumption and lower emissions.
Wider Season-Long Sustainability Audit Underway
RCB said its sustainability efforts are not limited to the green jersey fixture.
The franchise is currently assessing the environmental impact of team travel, accommodation, logistics, and energy usage across the entire IPL 2026 season. Sustainability audits are expected to be conducted during key matches, with findings to be compiled into a detailed report that will help shape future climate strategies.
