New Delhi, April 14, 2026: Realme has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G, a device aimed at users seeking long battery life and smooth display performance at an affordable price point.
The latest addition to the Narzo series arrives as a successor to the Narzo 80 Lite and is positioned in the highly competitive entry-level 5G segment. The company is targeting first-time smartphone buyers and users upgrading from older 4G devices.
Pricing and availability
The Realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G has been introduced at an expected starting price of around ₹12,999, with higher storage variants going up to approximately ₹16,999. The smartphone is expected to be available across online and offline retail channels in the coming days.
Design and build
In terms of design, the device adopts a practical approach with a textured rear panel and a vertically aligned camera module. It is offered in colour options such as Thunder Black and Frost Silver.
Realme has also focused on durability, equipping the phone with an IP64 rating for resistance against dust and splashes. Additionally, the handset is said to feature military-grade durability certification, aimed at improving resistance to drops and rough usage conditions.
Display features
The Narzo 100 Lite 5G features a large 6.8-inch display, which is one of its key highlights in the budget category. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, enabling smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming performance.
With brightness levels reaching up to 900 nits, the display is designed to offer improved visibility under outdoor lighting conditions.
Performance and software
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is designed to deliver stable day-to-day performance and efficient power consumption. The processor supports 5G connectivity and is aimed at handling routine tasks such as browsing, video streaming, and light gaming.
The smartphone runs on Android 16 with Realme’s custom user interface layered on top, offering a modern software experience along with system optimisations.
Camera capabilities
On the camera front, the device features a 13-megapixel primary sensor on the rear, accompanied by basic imaging features suited for casual photography. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone includes a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
While the camera system is modest, it aligns with the device’s positioning in the budget segment.
Battery and charging
Battery life stands out as the most significant feature of the Narzo 100 Lite 5G. The smartphone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to two days of usage on moderate consumption.
The device also supports reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power source for other devices. Additionally, bypass charging technology is included to reduce heat generation during extended gaming sessions.
Storage options
The smartphone is expected to be available in multiple configurations, including 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Expandable storage support is also likely, catering to users who require additional space for media and apps.
Market outlook
With the launch of the Realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G, Realme continues its aggressive push in India’s budget smartphone market. The device differentiates itself with a high refresh rate display and an unusually large battery, features that are still uncommon in this price range.
However, the relatively basic camera setup and entry-level performance positioning indicate that the phone is designed primarily for everyday usage rather than intensive tasks.
As competition intensifies in the sub-₹15,000 segment, the Narzo 100 Lite 5G will compete with offerings from other major brands, with its success likely to depend on real-world battery performance and pricing strategy.
