Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad Undergoes Renovations for President Murmu’s Winter Stay In anticipation of President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming winter sojourn in Hyderabad, Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolaram is undergoing a makeover as officials strive to enhance the residence.
Scheduled from December 18 to 23, the President’s stay has prompted officials to temporarily close Rashtrapati Nilayam to visitors from December 11 onwards for restoration efforts. The premises are set to reopen on December 25, allowing visitors to once again explore the historic residence.
The restoration project includes minor renovations to the structure, an expansion of greenery within the premises, and beautification initiatives in open spaces. Additionally, measures have been implemented to address concerns such as the removal of snakes and stray animals.
“Closing the premises for visitors during this period provides more space for the staff to carry out necessary restoration work,” stated an official from Rashtrapati Nilayam. The efforts are aimed at ensuring that the residence is in optimal condition for President Murmu’s stay, offering a serene and welcoming environment.
As Hyderabad gears up to host the President for this special winter retreat, the ongoing restoration work at Rashtrapati Nilayam reflects the city’s commitment to maintaining the historical significance and charm of this iconic residence.
