Washington, April 17: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the United States is “very close” to reaching an agreement with Iran over its nuclear programme, raising the possibility of a significant diplomatic breakthrough in the coming days.
Speaking to reporters at the White House before departing for Nevada, Trump said negotiations had made substantial progress and suggested that fresh talks could take place over the weekend. He also indicated that he may travel to Islamabad if a final agreement is signed there.
